Meet the Lintott Brothers
My three sons—Zachary, Kael, and Ethan—returned to Goshinkan-Ryu Ju-Jitsu® training this summer to continue their journey toward Black Belt.
Kael began training at our Calgary dojo in 2002 at three years old. His early involvement inspired me to create the Little Samurai Program, and he became its first student. Zachary began training in Calgary in 2006, while Ethan started at our Grande Prairie dojo in 2007 at four years old. Ethan’s training helped lay the foundation for our Mini Bushi Program.
All three competed in BJJ, Japanese Ju-Jitsu, and Judo tournaments. They became junior leaders and inspired many young students throughout our dojos across Canada. As they developed interests in other sports, they reduced their training during high school.
Ethan was promoted to Second-Degree Brown Belt on September 3, 2016. Kael and Zachary achieved the same rank on February 15, 2015. Ethan now trains directly with me at our Edmonton Hombu Dojo, while Kael and Zachary train here monthly and full-time at our new Calgary dojo.
Being the founder and leader of a Ju-Jitsu system can sometimes be a thankless responsibility. Having my three boys back by my side and on the mats with me has reinspired me and reminded me why this journey is so meaningful.
