Palm-Sized Training
We teach several programs of Martial Arts in our dojos, but also have self-defense programs for people not interested in the martial arts. These self-defense techniques have been tested in real life by doorman, police, security personnel, protection services, executives, and the average citizen.
All our self-defense teachings follow the 3 Minute Rule; if you can’t learn it in 3 minutes then it is of no use to you. Under stress you will remember only the simplest things, therefore we rely on whole body movements that are natural and instinctive techniques.
Self-defense training that fits in the palm of your hand, sometimes literally. Our self-defense programs can be done at your office during lunch hour, or after work in one of our dojos or at your health club; and it's great for team development.

4. PPCT Certification (Police Pressure Point Control Tactics)
Although the knowledge of the locations, as well as how to attack the pressure points of the human body, has been around for several hundreds of years, fairly recently research in police defense tactics has greatly contributed to a much more scientific understanding of how these pressure points are affected by various methods of contact.
The Nerve Pressure Point Control Tactics System was developed to help provide specific tactics that eliminate the need for peace and security officers to use excessive force in control of subjects. This is accomplished by the application of pressure to specific nerve groups in the body. It allows an officer regardless of size and strength to gain a high degree of control in close quarter confrontations with very little energy loss.
The police PPCT system is made up of only the most practical, effective and easily accessible pressure points. The system is easy to learn and the techniques can be successfully applied by both males and females and their use can easily be defended in court because of their low propensity to cause serious injuries. From a martial artists point of view this makes PPCT a must know skill.
Purpose of Certification To learn a humane, court defensible, yet effective system of Pressure Point control presently being taught at Police Academies throughout the World.
The System is made up three distinct techniques:
- Surface Pressure
- Deep Pressure
- Striking Techniques
There are a total of 12 targets; seven are Nerve Motor Points and five are Nerve Pressure Points. The motor points are affective up to 3” radius for the upper limbs, and up to a 5” radius on the lower limbs.

5. Persuader Key Holder System
The forerunner to the modern day Persuader Key Holder was invented by Professor Frank Matsuyama, a martial arts instructor, back in the early 1940’s. He named his invention the “Yawara Stick”, as shown below, and taught the Yawara Stick techniques to members of various police agencies across the United States until the early 1950’s.
The smaller, modern day Persuader, shown below, is different not only in length and diameter, but also because it is first and foremost a Key Holder, that could become a weapon of opportunity, should you suddenly have to defend yourself against an unprovoked physical assault.

6. Suntetsu Jutsu
Similar to the wooden yawara, the Suntetsu is a concealed weapon of the Samurai consisting of short iron bar. This metal implement can be used in the hand in much the same manner as the short wooden rod. It can also be thrown to distract or injure an attacker.
Suntetsu often include a short loop of rope or metal ring. Worn around the middle finger, the ring allows the Suntetsu to pivot inside the hand so different grips may be used. This also allows it to be used for palm strikes and blocks against cuts with edged weapons.
- Course length 2 hours
- Employs how to fend off any violent un-provoked assault
- Anyone can learn these techniques.
