Sensei Mark Tallack

Mark is a 1st Degree Black Belt in Ju Jitsu, and one of Goshin’s instructors in all programs—he is currently the Head Instructor of the Goshin Martial Arts Calgary dojo (Southland Leisure Centre).

He has been in Goshinkan-Ryu Ju-Jitsu for four years training under Sensei Kevin Lintott starting in September of 2005. As of March 2009 he was graded under Sensei Kevin and achieved Shodan. Mark volunteers on AJJA committees and helps with fundraisers. He also helps teaching the adults class and also the Little Samurais.

Mark got his first taste of martial arts while serving with the Canadian Armed Forces in the late 80's. He has a back ground in security field as he held several security jobs with experience in: labor unrest and riot control; patrols and investigations; as well as Doorman security.

  • April 2009, Completed Basic Key Chain Instructor's course for requirements of level 1 Black Belt College program.
